Getting to Hotel
For foreign travelers, EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL/MLH/EAP) and Strasbourg Airport (SXB) are the two major ease access airports. As to Colmar, the best and fastest way to travel from either airport is via train. From Strasbourg Airport, you catch a short shuttle train to the central Strasbourg station, from there modern and rapid TER trains run to Colmar in about 30 minutes. From EuroAirport, you would be better off taking a bus to Saint-Louis train station and a direct train to Colmar from there.
The most popular and convenient way to arrive in Colmar is by train, and the residence is well-located for this. Gare de Colmar, the main train station, is quite easy to reach on foot, that is to say, a matter of 15-20 minutes from your accommodation. It enjoys excellent TGV connections with Paris (only 2.5 hours) and regional services are available from all over France, Switzerland, and Germany including Basel and Freiburg. So if you 'reloaded' while traveling, it is very comfortable to get the rest from transportation. You can have a taxi easily and quickly there.
If you travel by car as part of a tour of the Alsace Wine Route, Colmar is accessible via the A35 motorway. The GPS will easily help find the Colmar Suites Résidence. More important and rare, on-site parking will justify this to every guest. Finding parking in the narrow lanes of the city center is very tough to do, so having a safe spot to leave one’s vehicle lets one explore the town on foot with no stress.
